Support

Progressive Business Technologies provides support agreements for Ostendo, Sybiz and Sage Pastel business systems. Designed to assist users of our products with queries and information on how to perform tasks and resolve support matters. Customers pay a monthly subscription for the service.

We strive to provide the best possible service, and to achieve this, must have boundaries to ensure these services are available expediently to all our members.

Remote Support

PBT provides a secure remote access support application that is available for download from our website. With your permission we can have controlled access into your computer or network from our office, allowing us to service your request quickly and on a more cost efficient basis. Whilst travel time is saved, remote access also allows our staff to retain full access to all facilities at our offices. Remote Access Support is charged in 15 minute increments at the applicable consulting rate.

Onsite Support

Consultants can be booked for onsite support, system maintenance, upgrades, issue resolution, application development and training.

Record & Email Support Issue

Windows 7 and later has a feature built in called Steps Recorder which can capture the steps you take on a computer and include a text description of where you clicked on the screen. This recording can then be saved and sent to Progressive to diagnose the computer problem.

1. Click the Start Button and type the word steps click on the Steps Recorder program to begin

2. Press the Start Record button to begin recording your steps

 

3. Perform the steps in the program that produce the computer problem and then click the Stop Record

 

4. Save the file to a location on your computer (the desktop is the default save location) and then email this file to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. include a brief description in your email outlining the issue.
