Sybiz Visipay V26 is now available for upgrade

Important Information

Web API Upgrade Required

When upgrading to Sybiz Visipay 26.00, the Web API must also be updated to the latest version.  This is due to new security requirements and underlying technology changes introduced in Version 26.  Upgrading both components together ensures compatibility, stability, and continued access to key integrations.

Minimum Supported Microsoft SQL Server Version

Sybiz Visipay 26 requires Microsoft SQL Server 2017 or later, consistent with the last three major releases.

If your SQL Server version falls outside the supported range, Vision will display a warning during the upgrade process (Version 23.00+), before the database update is applied.

At PBT, we strongly recommend upgrading to the latest SQL Server version available, not just the minimum supported version.
This ensures:

  • Better long-term system support

  • Improved performance and scalability

  • Full compatibility with Sybiz 26, including support for SQL Server 2025

Operating System Compatibility

Several older Microsoft operating systems are no longer supported in Sybiz 26.00.

This includes:

  • Windows XP

  • Some versions of Windows Vista

  • Windows Server 2003

  • SQL Server 2008 / 2008R2 / 2012 / 2016

  • Windows Server 2012

If you are unsure whether your environment meets the requirements, please consult your PBT Account Manager before upgrading.

Windows 11 is fully supported, along with compatibility for newer versions of Sybiz solutions.

DevExpress Update

Sybiz Visipay 26.00 now uses DevExpress 25.1.6.0, offering improved stability and interface performance across the application.

Payday Superannuation (Australia)

Version 26.00 introduces foundational changes to support the ATO’s Payday Superannuation reforms.

However, as ATO final specifications were not available prior to release, an additional upgrade will be required before 1 July 2026, when Payday Super becomes mandatory.

New & Enhanced Features

A Simpler Way to Maintain Employee Data

HRM grids have been improved to allow employees’ details to be edited or deleted directly from the grid, eliminating the need to enter each employee record individually.  Access is controlled via user security rights.

Preparing for Payday Superannuation – Qualifying Earnings

A new Qualifying Earnings flag has been added to relevant pay items.
During upgrade, items currently marked as Superannuation Applies will automatically have the flag enabled.

You must review all pay items post-upgrade to ensure they are configured correctly for your payroll environment.

Enhanced Employee Onboarding

The Sybiz Employer Portal now features an integrated onboarding process for new employees, capturing:

  • Tax information
  • Superannuation details
  • Banking details

This workflow will continue to expand over future releases to further streamline new hire setup.

Deactivate Superannuation Funds

Superannuation funds can now be marked as inactive, preventing future use while maintaining history.

If an active employee still references the fund, Sybiz will warn users before changes are applied.

Attach Files When Using SMTP Email

For organisations not using Outlook, the email preview window now supports attaching files directly when sending.

This makes external communication faster and more flexible.

Archive Employee Reminders

When processing pays, reminders displayed to payroll users can now be archived rather than deleted.

Archived reminders are saved as notes on the employee record, preserving the original date for reference.

Notify Employees When Payslips Are Available in ESS

Instead of emailing encrypted payslips, payroll teams can now configure a new ESS payslip layout that notifies employees to log in to the Employee Self Service (ESS) portal or app.

This improves security and encourages ongoing ESS adoption.

Greater Control Over Payroll Posting Rules

GL posting configurations can now be refined further by clearing previously entered accounts in the Payroll Journal Setup Wizard.

This allows users to enforce specific combinations of departments and pay items and automatically flag posting errors before journals are created.
