What’s New & Enhanced in Sybiz Vision V26
This article outlines a sub-set of the Sybiz Vision Version 26 new features. For a full list, the new features, enhancements, fixes and improvements, visit the Sybiz website.
Modernised General Ledger Report Layouts
Sybiz has refreshed all standard report layouts across Sybiz Vision, delivering a cleaner, more consistent presentation without changing underlying data or calculations.
Custom layouts remain unaffected.
In Version 26.00, General Ledger and Lookup reports receive the first round of visual updates, with the remaining library scheduled for 26.10.
These improvements enhance readability, improve export reliability (goodbye blank rows and columns), and leverage new DevExpress Expressions for smarter formatting.
A small number of legacy reports will also begin transitioning to archive based on customer usage and feedback.
Assign Default User States for Consistent Workspaces
Default User States make it easier to standardise how users experience Vision.
Administrators can copy a preferred screen layout and apply it to selected users, ensuring columns and settings remain consistent.
Users can still make changes while working, but their view will automatically reset back to the default when the screen is closed.
Cashflow Statement with Cashflow Account Classification
A new Cashflow Statement provides clearer insight into how activities impact cash position, based on transaction dates and the newly introduced Cashflow Account Type classification.
This supports more accurate analysis and cashflow reporting across your chart of accounts.
Native SMS Activities in Sybiz Vision
SMS messages can now be sent directly using Vision’s built-in SMS settings.
Breakpoint support allows SMS events to automatically create activities linked to customers, delivering a fully traceable communication history within Vision.
Manage Open Banking Consent Inside Vision
Users working with Open Banking-enabled bank feeds can now manage consent and notifications directly within Vision, simplifying compliance and ongoing authorisation.
Customer & Invoice Customer Options for Jobs
Jobs now support both a primary customer and an “invoice customer,” much like service requests.
This is ideal for businesses working with branch/head-office account structures.
The invoice destination cannot be changed while invoicing a job or service request.
Faster Job & Service Request Creation on Mobile
Create jobs and service requests on the go using templates that prefill required details—perfect for technicians and teams working in the field.
Requires automatic numbering and appropriate user permissions.
Mobile App Enhancements
Colour Coding for Jobs and Service Tasks
Scheduled task colours now flow through to the Vision Jobs and Vision Service mobile apps, improving visibility at a glance.
Swipe to Open Jobs or Requests
Swipe actions now allow quick access to jobs or service requests in the mobile agenda or within appointment views.
Capture & Store Video in Vision Service
Technicians can now record and attach videos to service jobs directly from the mobile app.
Warnings for Overlapping Appointments
Staff receive a notice if a booking overlaps with an existing appointment, across desktop and mobile, reducing scheduling conflicts.
View Schedules from Another User’s Perspective
See scheduled requests exactly as another staff member would, making rostering and resource management simpler.
Developer & Usability Enhancements
Improved Breakpoint Helper Methods
A new object-based helper allows breakpoints to create lookup-style input boxes (e.g. customer, product, job).
Safer Clearing Wizard Processing
The Pay and Process Clearing Wizard now selects no records by default, ensuring users consciously choose what to clear.
Richer Purchase Requisition Information
Requisitions now include a tax-inclusive column and additional transaction details to support better approvals and review.
Improved Visibility for Long Notes
Multi-line header notes now display an ellipsis (…) so users can easily identify when more information is available.
General Ledger Controls for Cashbooks & Fixed Assets
GL accounts now include settings to prevent incorrect use in cashbooks or fixed asset journals.
Streamlined Lot & Serial-Based Inventory Credits
Crediting invoices linked to delivered stock automatically selects the correct lot or serial numbers.
Diminishing Products in Periodic Billing
Diminishing products can be included in periodic billing cycles—orders and invoices will generate as usual, with delivery handled separately.
Job & Service Images Retained in Database Conversions
Job and service images now transfer correctly during Vision-to-Vision database conversions.
Better Visibility of Linked Items in Service Requests
Product information from purchase transactions now appears directly in job and service enquiry screens.
Print/Email Options for API-Generated Transactions
Transaction documents created via Web API or mobile apps can now be configured to automatically print or email.
Excel Files Open in Native Viewer
Excel attachments now open in a built-in viewing mode instead of converting to PDF.
Clearer Tax Periods
Each tax type now displays a visible start and end date, simplifying reconciliation.
